crunchrr adds...digital
artifacts
crunchrr is a really simple-to-use effect that adds digital artifacts to your sounds. Add subtle digital bitcrush-like distortion to your sounds or turn them into a complete noisy mess.
It works by modulating a small fractional delay line at audio-rate at high frequency, resulting in an effect similar to bit crush/sample divide/erosion.
crunchrr is...unique & versatile
Choose from a variety of available modulators (noise, bandpassed noise, sine, square, triangle, saw) with a wide range of frequencies, from 0.1 Hz up to 22 kHz
You can also change the stereo width of the modulators for left and right channels, from fully mono to fully wide
NEW: Now includes a Sidechain modulator type with built-in lowpass filter!
crunchrr is...simple & optimized
crunchrr internally uses extremely optimized algorithms - it can run even on a potato!
With just 5 parameters, a cute digital visualizer and a simple interface, crunchrr is extremely intuitive and simple to use

Stereo Width Slider

  • The stereo phase offset of the modulators - adds a subtle widening effect
  • ALT + Click resets it back to default

Visualizer/XY Pad

  • The main XY pad - controls the frequency (X axis) and amplitude (Y axis) of the modulator
  • Also, it's a cute visualizer :3
  • Supports 2D scrolling, holding ALT while scrolling switches the axes

Frequency Slider

  • Change the frequency of the modulator
  • Also controls bandpass filter bandwidth in Bandpassed Noise mode
  • Supports 2D scrolling, holding ALT while scrolling switches the axes
  • ALT + Click resets it back to default

Modulator Type

  • Change the type of the modulator
  • Available options are (left to right): bandpassed noise, sine, triangle, saw, inverted saw, square, sidechain
  • Supports scrolling on hover

Crunch Slider

  • Amount of processing to apply, kinda like a dry/wet mix knob
  • ALT + Click resets it back to default

Resize

  • Drag this to make the interface however large or small you want

UI Customization

  • Left button: change to a random default color theme. CTRL + Click to open the config file
  • Right button: toggle between small mode and large mode

Logo

  • Double click to reset UI scale to default
  • Also resets the UI large mode, if you got stuck with large UI by accident

Randomize

  • Click to randomize all the plugin's parameters

Bypass

  • A simple bypass toggle
  • It's just a bypass toggle, what can I say
